The short version: you pay an hourly rate for the hours your VA actually works, billed monthly after the work is done, and nothing at all until you’ve chosen your VA.
Quick answer: how much does a VA Masters virtual assistant cost?
Virtual assistants start from $6.50/hr. Most roles cost $6.50 to $15/hr, and specialist technical and development roles go up to $25/hr. That’s up to 80% less than a comparable local hire. You’re billed monthly, after the work is done, only for hours worked. There are no recruitment or setup fees, nothing to pay before you choose your VA, a 30-day trial period, and a replacement at no extra cost if the fit isn’t right.

We’re confident in the people we find, so we carry the risk of the search ourselves. For every role, our recruitment team puts in dozens of hours: writing the job post, screening a large applicant base, running skills tests and interviews. You pay nothing for any of it. You meet the candidates, and you only move forward if you’re happy with one.

One point of contact for questions, feedback, hour changes and anything else, for as long as you work with us.
Replacement at no extra cost
If the fit isn't right, or your VA moves on, we search again for free.

We present the top 2-3, usually within about 2 business days. Not happy with any of them? We keep searching, still at no cost.
Choose your VA
Only when you're happy with a candidate do you move forward, with a one-time advance payment. It isn't a fee: it's credited against your VA's first invoices and it's refundable.
Pay monthly for hours worked
Your VA starts. At the start of each month you get one invoice for the hours they worked the month before.

How many hours do you need?
You only pay for hours actually worked, and your VA works the schedule you need: we recruit for your hours and your time zone. Our recommended minimum is 80 hours a month, and here’s why: a VA who works 80 hours or more for you treats your business as a main commitment, not a side job. They stay longer, your work comes first, and the strongest candidates apply for these roles.
About 10 hours a week. Possible, and plenty of our clients work this way. Ask us and we’ll find the setup that works.
Half-time, about 20 hours a week. Enough for a committed VA who stays with you long term.
About 40 hours a week. A dedicated team member for your business.

Our terms, in plain English
These are the key points of our standard service agreement, written the way you’d explain them to a colleague.
Is there a long-term contract?
No. There is no fixed contract term. You work with us month to month, and either side can end the engagement with 30 days' written notice.
Is there a trial period?
Yes. The first 30 days with each new VA are a trial period. If it isn't working, you can end the engagement right away, with no notice period. You only pay for the hours your VA worked up to that day.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. During the 30-day trial you can stop immediately. After that, you give 30 days' written notice. Any unused balance of your advance payment comes back to you in full.
What if my VA isn't the right fit, or leaves?
We find you a replacement at no extra cost. We usually present new candidates within about 2 business days, and you choose again, exactly like the first time.
Can I change my VA's hours?
Yes. You can add hours whenever the work grows. To reduce hours below the minimum in your agreement, give us 30 days' written notice.
Will my VA's rate go up?
Rates are reviewed once a year, and no rate change is ever made without your approval. If a VA asks for a raise and you decide not to approve it, the rate stays the same, though the VA may choose to move on. If that happens, we find you a replacement at no extra cost.
Do VAs sign an NDA?
Yes. Every VA is required to sign written confidentiality undertakings with us, and to delete your information, logins and data when the engagement ends. If you have your own NDA, we require your VA to sign it.
Who controls access to my systems?
You do. You give your VA access to your tools and accounts directly, and you can remove it at any time. VA Masters never holds your logins.
Who manages the VA day to day?
You direct the daily work and priorities, like you would with any team member. We handle everything around it: the contract, payments, time tracking, invoicing and a dedicated account manager you can reach anytime.

How much does a virtual assistant from VA Masters cost per month?
It depends on the role and the hours. A half-time VA (80 hours a month) starts from $520 a month at $6.50/hr. A full-time VA (160 hours) starts from $1,040 a month, and most full-time roles cost between $1,040 and $2,400 a month. You only pay for hours actually worked.
Can I hire a VA for 40 hours a month?
Yes. Our recommended minimum is 80 hours a month, but plenty of our clients work with a VA for 40 hours a month. Tell us what you need and we will find a setup that works.
Do you charge a recruitment or placement fee?
No. There are no recruitment fees, no placement fees and no setup fees. The search is free. You pay the hourly rate for hours worked, plus a refundable advance payment once you have chosen your VA, which is credited against your first invoices.
Is the advance payment refundable?
Yes. It is credited in full against your VA's first invoices, and if the engagement ends for any reason, any unused balance is refunded in full.
