How long does the full application process take?
The full process from application to placement typically takes 6–8 weeks, though it often moves faster. Initial review takes up to 10 business days, the skills test up to 7 business days, and each interview stage up to 2 weeks.
Will I be notified if I don’t pass the initial review?
Yes. We notify all applicants whether they progress or not. Strong profiles that don’t match current openings are kept on file and may be contacted for future roles.
Is the skills test mandatory for all applicants?
No — the skills test is only sent to shortlisted candidates, and only when it’s relevant to the specific role. Not every position requires one.
What does the internal interview look like?
It’s a one-on-one video call with our recruitment team, usually 30–45 minutes. We’ll discuss your professional background, communication skills, working style, and how you’d fit with our clients. It’s a real conversation, not an interrogation.
How do I prepare for the client interview?
We’ll brief you on the client, their business, and what they’re looking for before the meeting. Make sure you have a stable internet connection, good lighting, and a quiet environment. Prepare specific examples from past work and ask thoughtful questions.
Are all placements remote positions?
Yes. All VA Masters placements are fully remote. Our clients are global businesses based primarily in the US, Canada, UK, and Australia.
Does VA Masters support VAs after placement?
Absolutely. We stay involved throughout your placement — regular check-ins, onboarding support, and a direct line to our team if anything comes up. We don’t recruit and disappear.
