- *Job Summary:** We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically skilled Shopify & Platform Setup Specialist to finalize and optimize our e-commerce store and ensure all platform integrations are properly connected ahead of launch. The store foundation is already in place, so this role is focused on locking in the integrations between Shopify, Meta, TikTok Shop, Google Analytics, and YouTube, making sure traffic and data are flowing correctly across every channel, and ensuring nothing falls through the gaps before we go live. Once the initial setup is complete, this VA will continue supporting store maintenance and updates as new products are introduced.
Key Responsibilities
- Audit and optimize the existing Shopify store for conversion readiness and technical performance
- Connect and configure Shopify with Meta (Facebook and Instagram) for seamless product and ad integration
- Set up and integrate TikTok Shop with the Shopify storefront
- Configure Google Analytics and ensure accurate tracking across all traffic sources
- Connect YouTube to the broader platform ecosystem and verify proper data flow
- Ensure all pixels, conversion events, and tracking tags are correctly installed and firing
- Identify and close any gaps between platforms where traffic or data is being lost
- Test all integrations end-to-end and confirm everything is functioning correctly before launch
- Support ongoing store maintenance, product updates, and platform adjustments as the brand grows
- Document all integrations and configurations for easy reference and future updates
Mandatory Skills
- Proven hands-on experience setting up and optimizing Shopify stores
- Demonstrated experience integrating Shopify with Meta (Facebook and Instagram Shopping)
- Experience setting up TikTok Shop and connecting it to a Shopify storefront
- Strong understanding of Google Analytics setup including conversion tracking and traffic source attribution
- Experience installing and verifying pixels and conversion events across Meta, TikTok, and Google
- Ability to identify and resolve integration gaps that cause data loss or tracking errors
- Strong attention to detail with a methodical approach to testing and quality assurance
- Reliable, organized, and able to work independently through technical setup tasks
- Clear communication skills with the ability to flag issues and confirm completion without ambiguity
Preferred Skills
- Experience setting up Shopify stores for a D2C product brand ahead of a major launch
- Familiarity with Klaviyo or Mailchimp integration with Shopify for customer data syncing
- Knowledge of UTM parameter setup and campaign tracking across paid and organic channels
- Understanding of Shopify app ecosystem and ability to recommend and configure relevant apps
- Experience supporting a product launch or crowdfunding campaign (Indiegogo, Kickstarter, or similar)
- Ability to optimize Shopify store pages for conversion including product pages and checkout flow
- Familiarity with YouTube Shopping or YouTube channel integration with e-commerce platforms
