- *Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly organized and technically skilled Shopify & E-Commerce Operations Manager to oversee and optimize our Shopify Plus store and connected e-commerce systems. This role combines front-end store management with backend operational support, app integrations, workflow automation, and technical troubleshooting. The ideal candidate is data-driven, proactive, and comfortable working across Shopify apps, backend systems, and basic coding or customization tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain all Shopify Plus backend settings, configurations, and operational workflows
- Configure and execute promotions, bundles, discount codes, subscriptions, and sitewide updates
- Troubleshoot Shopify platform issues, theme conflicts, app integrations, and checkout-related problems
- Manage Shopify apps, integrations, APIs, and third-party tools to improve automation and operational efficiency
- Assist with backend customization, Liquid edits, app settings, and basic coding tasks as needed
- Collaborate with developers and technical partners on enhancements, integrations, and troubleshooting
- Oversee product uploads, variants, pricing, collections, and digital assets
- Ensure product titles, descriptions, SEO fields, metafields, and tags are accurate and optimized
- Maintain organized site navigation, product categorization, and merchandising structure
- Conduct routine product, pricing, and content audits to ensure consistency and accuracy
- Support landing page creation and merchandising updates for promotions and seasonal campaigns
- Maintain accurate inventory across Shopify and connected ERP/WMS systems
- Coordinate with warehouse, purchasing, and logistics teams to ensure inventory accuracy and order flow
- Monitor syncing tools, integrations, and automation systems for real-time inventory and order updates
- Identify and resolve discrepancies to prevent overselling, duplicate orders, or fulfillment issues
- Track and analyze key metrics including sales performance, conversion rates, AOV, traffic, customer retention, and return rates
- Generate regular reports and actionable insights for leadership
- Evaluate and recommend new Shopify apps, automation tools, and workflow enhancements
- Support digital marketing initiatives, email/SMS campaigns, and seasonal e-commerce planning
Mandatory Skills
- Proven experience managing Shopify or Shopify Plus stores
- Familiarity with Shopify apps, integrations, APIs, and backend workflows
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Liquid templating
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with inventory systems, fulfillment operations, or ERP/WMS integrations
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting using tools such as Google Analytics
- Solid understanding of SEO principles and product merchandising
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience specifically with Shopify Plus features and capabilities
- Familiarity with Klaviyo, Meta Ads, or other e-commerce marketing tools
- Background in food and beverage or CPG e-commerce operations
- Experience with e-commerce automation workflows and process optimization
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of email/SMS marketing campaign execution and strategy
- Experience collaborating with developers on technical integrations and enhancements
