Part TimeAdministrative and Operations SupportE-commerce Management
Job Summary
- * We are looking for a highly experienced Shopify Operations Specialist to manage the day-to-day running of our Shopify store. This is a senior, hands-on role covering store management, merchandising, promotions, customer service, email marketing, and analytics — not an entry-level product-upload position. You’ll work closely with leadership, who will remain involved in approving major decisions, while you independently prepare, execute, troubleshoot, and verify the work.**
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day Shopify store operations, including product creation, updates, and full catalog management via CSV and bulk tools
- Build and maintain collections, merchandising, and homepage presentation for new arrivals, sales, and product launches
- Execute pricing, markdown, and promotional campaigns, including QA of discount rules, exclusions, and promotion dates
- Handle ecommerce customer service — order status, shipping updates, returns, exchanges, refunds, and resolving fulfillment or product issues with a warm, professional tone
- Create and manage email marketing campaigns and automations (welcome flows, abandoned cart, promotions) with segmentation and performance tracking
- Monitor sales, conversion, and ad performance analytics, flagging trends, issues, and opportunities for review
- Edit and optimize product and homepage images to required specifications for web
- Perform website QA across desktop and mobile — links, pricing, inventory, swatches, navigation, and checkout behavior
- Troubleshoot product data, theme, variant, and metafield issues, escalating significant changes for approval
Mandatory Skills
- 3-5+ years of hands-on Shopify experience, ideally as the primary operator of an established store with a substantial product catalog
- Advanced proficiency in Shopify Admin (products, variants, collections, inventory, orders, discounts, metafields, apps, analytics)
- Strong experience with Shopify CSV imports/exports and bulk product management
- Solid understanding of ecommerce merchandising and the difference between markdowns, compare-at pricing, and discount codes
- Proven ecommerce customer service experience with excellent written English
- Working knowledge of basic Liquid, HTML, and CSS for safe theme troubleshooting
- Working-level Photoshop skills for product and image editing (cropping, color correction, web optimization)
- Strong spreadsheet skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
- Strong communication skills, comfortable preparing and recommending solutions within an approval-based workflow
Preferred Skills
- Mailchimp experience (campaign building, automations, segmentation, performance analysis)
- Shopify Flow and app-based workflow automation experience
- International ecommerce experience (multi-market pricing, shipping zones, duties/taxes)
- Experience reviewing paid ad performance (Meta, Google, TikTok, GA4) and connecting it to storefront issues
- Experience with custom/personalized products and one-of-a-kind inventory management
- Advanced media buying experience
Why Join Us
- * This is a great opportunity to take real ownership of an established ecommerce operation, with the creative and strategic direction handled collaboratively rather than in isolation. You’ll have the chance to apply a broad skill set every day, work flexible hours, and grow with a business that values precision and initiative.**
Work Schedule
Eastern Time (Puerto Rico + NYC). Needs ET morning overlap for order processing and AWB generation.
