N8N expert (GHL focused)

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly technical automation specialist with deep GoHighLevel expertise and strong n8n skills to build, maintain, and improve our internal and client-facing automation systems. This is not a basic admin role — you will architect real systems, build clean and repeatable workflows, connect platforms via webhooks and APIs, and turn documented requirements into working automations. The ideal candidate thinks in workflow logic, tests their own work rigorously, and can troubleshoot broken systems independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and manage internal and client-facing systems inside GoHighLevel, including pipelines, opportunities, custom fields, custom values, forms, surveys, calendars, and workflows
• Create SMS/email automations, trigger links, tags, contact segmentation, lead qualification flows, appointment booking flows, and follow-up sequences
• Build and maintain a complete internal lead generation system covering lead capture, CRM intake, lead scoring, nurture sequences, booking workflows, and pipeline organization
• Develop productized, client-facing “lead machine” systems including subaccount setup, qualification forms, speed-to-lead automations, missed-call text-back, and full QA/testing before delivery
• Create n8n workflows involving webhook triggers, HTTP requests, JSON formatting, and data transformation — including reading/writing GHL custom fields and values
• Connect GHL to external tools and troubleshoot API integrations, error checking, and workflow logging/debugging
• Build and edit GHL funnel and landing pages, connect forms and booking flows, add tracking scripts, and ensure leads enter the CRM correctly
• Document all builds clearly with notes and SOPs, and prepare reusable templates/snapshots for future clients
• QA test full funnels end-to-end, from form submission to booked appointment

Mandatory Skills

• Strong proficiency in GoHighLevel workflows, funnels, forms/surveys, pipelines, calendars, custom fields, and custom values
• Experience building SMS/email automation and complex multi-step workflows
• Working knowledge of webhooks and CRM organization
• Ability to test automations, troubleshoot broken workflows, and debug logic errors
• Skill in writing clear technical notes and SOPs
• Ability to follow detailed technical instructions precisely
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
• Strong communication skills, including the confidence to ask smart questions when something is unclear

Preferred Skills

• Hands-on experience with n8n, APIs, webhooks, JSON, and HTTP requests
• Familiarity with Zapier or Make, Google Sheets automation, and Meta lead form integrations
• Knowledge of Facebook Pixel / Conversion API basics
• Landing page optimization and basic HTML/CSS or JavaScript
• Experience building funnels for contractor, home services, real estate, or local service businesses
• Ability to manage multiple build projects simultaneously
