Clay Data Enrichment Specialist

Job Summary

We are looking for a Clay Data Enrichment Specialist to take ownership of a 15,000-record prospect database and turn it into our most valuable asset. You will build enrichment workflows in Clay, append and verify missing data across thousands of business owner records, classify them by ownership structure, and surface our highest-value targets against clear revenue and tenure criteria. Once the data is accurate and segmented, you will help put it to work through email and direct mail outreach. This role is for someone who genuinely enjoys data work and takes pride in a database that can be trusted.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, configure, and maintain enrichment workflows in Clay across a database of approximately 15,000 franchise owner records
• Design Clay tables, waterfall enrichments, and integrations to maximize match rates while controlling credit spend
• Append missing data points including owner name, contact details, years in operation, unit count, and revenue indicators
• Classify every record by ownership structure, distinguishing single-unit from multi-unit owners
• Verify enriched data against secondary sources and flag records that cannot be confirmed rather than guessing
• Deduplicate, standardize, and correct the existing database to a consistent, reliable structure
• Build prioritized target segments using defined filters such as years of ownership and annual sales volume
• Maintain data hygiene on an ongoing basis and expand the database with newly identified prospects
• Push clean, segmented lists into the CRM and keep both systems in sync
• Support outreach execution by preparing recipient lists for email and direct mail campaigns
• Conduct follow-up contact with prospects to confirm receipt of outreach and capture their responses
• Assist with social media content scheduling and posting as a secondary responsibility
• Report weekly on enrichment progress, match rates, data quality, and segment counts
• Document every workflow you build as a clear, repeatable SOP

Mandatory Skills

• Hands-on working experience with Clay, including table setup, enrichment waterfalls, and data provider integrations
• Proven experience enriching and cleaning large B2B databases at scale
• Strong independent research skills with a disciplined habit of verifying information against multiple sources
• Sound judgment about data accuracy — knowing when a record is confirmed versus when it is a guess
• Advanced spreadsheet skills for sorting, filtering, deduplicating, and segmenting thousands of records
• Experience working within a CRM and keeping records synchronized across systems
• Excellent written and spoken English for outreach follow-up and reporting
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently on long-running data projects
• Strong communication skills with consistent, proactive progress reporting

Preferred Skills

• Experience with other enrichment or prospecting tools such as Apollo, ZoomInfo, or LinkedIn Sales Navigator
• Familiarity with GoHighLevel or a comparable CRM and marketing automation platform
• Experience with franchise, business brokerage, or B2B lead generation data
• Background in email campaign setup or outbound lead qualification
• Comfort making follow-up calls to business owners
• Social media page management and content scheduling experience
• Basic scripting, API, or no-code automation knowledge to extend enrichment workflows
• Experience building processes and documentation from scratch in a business with no existing systems
