Job Summary
We are looking for a Marketing Data Analyst to own marketing, sales, and revenue data reporting and insights. This role is not focused on advanced machine learning or academic data science. Instead, it is about transforming fragmented marketing and sales data into clear, reliable insights that leadership can use to make informed decisions.
You will design, implement, and maintain a scalable data setup that supports growth, ensures data accuracy, and keeps reporting simple, fast, and understandable as the business evolves.
Key Responsibilities
Data Architecture & Warehousing
- Design and maintain a central source of truth for marketing and revenue data, including leads, applications, booked calls, sales (initial and recurring), and funnel events
- Decide where raw and processed data lives (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake, Postgres, or similar)
- Ensure historical and live data integrate cleanly
- Manage schema changes caused by new tools, updated exports, or evolving business needs
- Maintain data consistency, accuracy, and long-term reliability
Marketing, Sales & Revenue Analytics
- Build and maintain reporting for funnel conversion rates (lead to application to call to sale)
- Analyze sales representative performance and call conversion rates
- Implement and maintain revenue attribution models (first-click, last-click, blended)
- Track key growth metrics such as LTV, CAC, AOV, churn, and cohort performance
- Monitor subscription and course metrics including renewals, cancellations, and billing cycles
- Translate funnel and revenue data into clear, actionable business insights
BI & Reporting
- Build dashboards used by leadership on a weekly and monthly basis
- Select and manage the BI tool (e.g., Looker Studio, Metabase, Power BI, Tableau)
- Keep reporting simple, fast, and trustworthy
- Prevent spreadsheet sprawl and fragile reporting logic
Integrations & Automation
- Design and manage data flows from marketing, sales, and revenue tools
- Integrate platforms such as CRM, checkout, scheduling, and advertising tools
- Use native connectors, APIs, automation tools, or scheduled imports to move data
- Reduce manual data handling and ongoing maintenance
Mandatory Skills
- Strong SQL skills, including joins, aggregations, and window functions
- Experience working with modern data warehouses
- Hands-on experience with BI and dashboarding tools
- Solid understanding of marketing funnels, attribution, subscription revenue, churn, and cohort analysis
- Ability to own marketing and revenue data end-to-end
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Skills
- Experience with marketing, CRM, payment, or attribution platforms
- Familiarity with product or event tracking tools
- Experience designing data schemas and analytical models
- Experience migrating teams from spreadsheet-based reporting to centralized data systems
- Basic scripting or Python experience for data-related tasks
